3. Prohibited Activities
You must NOT:
3.1 System Abuse
- Exceed your plan's rate limits or credit allocation through automated means designed to circumvent our limits
- Use multiple accounts to evade rate limits, bans, or credit restrictions
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers, databases, or other users' accounts
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or network without written authorization

3.2 Translation Memory Abuse
- Submit intentionally incorrect translations to pollute the Translation Memory
- Game the trust tier system by submitting fake feedback, votes, or reviews
- Collude with others to artificially promote poor-quality translations
- Submit large volumes of nonsensical or spam text to inflate TM counts
- Attempt to extract, scrape, or bulk-download the Translation Memory database
- Use the TM to build a competing translation product that substantially replicates our TM or quality scoring systems
3.3 Commercial Restrictions
- Resell or redistribute API access without an Agency or Enterprise license
- Use the free tier for commercial purposes beyond the limits specified in your plan
- Proxy our API to provide translation services under your own brand without disclosure and appropriate licensing
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the WordPress plugin or addons (except with Agency license for client sites)
3.4 Reverse Engineering
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract our translation models, algorithms, or quality scoring systems
- Attempt to reproduce, replicate, or create derivatives of our proprietary technology
- Use automated tools to map, mirror, or analyze the internal workings of the Platform beyond what is available through the documented API
4. Data and Privacy
- Do NOT submit sensitive personal data (such as passwords, credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, medical records, or biometric data) for translation. Use placeholder tokens instead.
- If you process personal data of EU residents through our Services, you must have a valid legal basis under GDPR and comply with our Data Processing Agreement.
- Do NOT use the Services to process data subject to specific regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, financial regulations) unless you have verified that our Services meet the requirements and accepted the associated risks.
5. Automated Access (Bots, Scripts, Integrations)
- Automated access to our API is permitted within the scope of your plan's rate limits and the API documentation.
- All automated access must use your API key for authentication.
- Automated scraping of our website, blog, documentation, or any non-API endpoint is prohibited.
- Bots or scripts that circumvent rate limits, CAPTCHA, or security measures are prohibited.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to:
- Email: [email protected]
We take reports seriously and will investigate within 5 business days. You may report anonymously; however, providing contact details helps us follow up if we need additional information.
7. Enforcement
We reserve the right to take any of the following actions for AUP violations, at our sole discretion:
- Warning: Notification of the violation with a request to cease the prohibited activity.
- Rate limiting: Temporary reduction of API rate limits or credit allocation.
- Content removal: Removal of offending content from the Translation Memory or platform.
- Suspension: Temporary suspension of account access (typically 7-30 days depending on severity).
- Termination: Permanent termination of your account, with or without prior warning.
- Legal action: Pursuit of legal remedies where violations cause material harm or involve illegal activity.
The severity of enforcement depends on: the nature and intent of the violation, whether it was a first offense, the impact on other users and the Platform, and whether the user cooperated with our investigation.
No refunds will be issued for accounts terminated due to AUP violations.
8. Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by emailing [email protected] with "AUP Appeal" in the subject line. We will review appeals within 10 business days and provide a written response.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on our website at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
